About Us
Our Vision
We are a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization focused on helping people with employment barriers obtain a rewarding job within the community. Our aim is to successfully place clients in the position of their choice, helping bring them a sense of purpose while earning money that will help them thrive independently.
Our Services
We are here to help anyone who wants to work and has employment barriers. Barriers include; physical or mental disability, dyslexia, autism, aspergers, down syndrome, vision and/or hearing impairment, brain injury, veterans, and people suffering from PTSD. We assist our clients start to finish. From resume creation and employment preparation to obtaining employment. We help our clients successfully retain their position with our job coaching services. Future plans for job training are currently in the works.
Our Story
Open Employment was founded in 2017 by Lance Ozanwich. He gained his passion for helping people find jobs more than 30 years ago while watching his father, Ed Hagan, assist Vietnam veterans with finding employment and housing through the business he founded, Flower of the Dragon. Lance began working for his dad in 1985, and has since placed over 1200 people in rewarding jobs. He has gained knowledge, experience and community connections while working for Agora Development, Becoming Independent, North Bay Veterans Resource Center, and most recently Goodwill of the Redwood Empire and Job Link.
